Several reasons for your cat to be seen by a veterinarian.

Every so often we may see our cats doing odd or out of character "Things". Most times it really is nothing but on occasion it can be a sign of an illness or other malady. What follows is a list of reasons that should give good cause for any cat to be seen immediately. The information seeker should Be Aware that this list is a work in progress and by no means is complete and may certainly be added to over time. Generally speaking suspicion or concern is good enough reason for your cat to be seen by a Doctor.

      Reasons 1-12.  

  1. Open Mouth Breathing.
  2. Collapse.
  3. Non Responsive or you can't wake or rouse them.
  4. Bleeding you cannot stop with pressure.
  5. Dragging hindquarters.
  6. Rubbing at an eye or eyes.
  7. "Painful" crying
  8. Not urinating for 15 hours.
  9. Not eating for 24 hours.
  10. Not drinking for 24 hours.
  11. Continuous twitching or tremoring.
  12. Never !  give a cat Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Consult your veterinarian before giving aspirin
